Airtel 4G VoLTE Services Launched In Karnataka, Will Pan-India Soon

After Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Maharastra & Goa, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, Airtel 4G VoLTE services launched in Karnataka after testing it for some time. This feature lets Airtel users enjoy HD quality voice calls along with faster call connect time.

Airtel 4G VoLTE Launched

The voice calls on VoLTE network are made using data but the company said there will be no additional data charges for VoLTE and calls will be billed as per existing plan or pack benefits.

In addition to that, Airtel promises seamless connectivity in case of non-availability of 4G, the voice calls will fall back to the 3G/2G network. It’s worth noting that this feature will also allow users to continue with their data sessions at 4G speeds while the call is in progress.

Airtel has listed out few devices on their website (airtel.in/volte), which will work on Airtel VoLTE and other handset manufacturers need to upgrade the smartphone’s software to support Airtel VoLTE. This VoLTE service will pan India by next few months without any time frame.
