Facebook Kills Messenger Day

Facebook has discontinued the Messenger Day feature from its chat app. Well, Messenger will still have Stories straight from Facebook, they’re just called Stories instead of Day. Nothing much changed, you Stories will be live for 24-hours.

This killing of Messenger Day feature means that Stories you see in the main Facebook app are the same ones that you see in the Messenger app. It is sort of a cross-platform sharing, in which if you upload them in one app, they are visible in the other app.

In addition to that, if you open any of the Story in one app, they are marked as viewed in the other app. This clearly means that the user experience has become seamless i.e you don’t have to post twice across both platforms, which will significantly increase views for Stories uploaded by users.
