Microsoft Adds An Anti-Cheat Game Feature To Windows 10; TruePlay!

With all the new features in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, Microsoft has added an anti-cheat game feature. Microsoft started rolling out Windows 10 Fall Creator Update featuring Windows Mixed Reality and people integration for the taskbar.

Anti-Cheat Game Feature In Windows 10

Microsoft has revealed the feature in a Windows 10 Insider build back in July. Well, a report from VG247 says that the software giant is now documenting its new “TruePlay” anti-cheat feature and it’s apparently developed for game developers to combat aimbots or wallhacks.

It seems like Valve’s own anti-cheating software, which collects data within the fame and generates alerts when something fishy happens. And yeah, developers will receive the information if TruePlay determines anything out of ordinary.

TruePlay is disabled by default at the moment in the gaming settings for Windows 10, but Microsoft is starting to make the API available to developers, which can be used in their Microsoft Store games. On the downside, it is limited to Universal Windows Platform (UWP) games as of now.
