Facebook Rolls Out New ORDER FOOD Option In The US

Ordering food online became pretty common in 2017, especially when companies like Uber (with UberEATS) getting into the food ordering service. Well, Facebook is not lagging behind, the social networking app has been testing the Order Food feature since last year and its finally here.

Facebook Rolls Out Order Food Feature

Collecting all the feedback and data, Facebook has launched Order food option straight from the app. So, internet users can now get their snack through the app itself. Facebook has also collaboratively added partners for their service.

Facebook has combined options from several food ordering services, from local shops to national chains, Facebook would connect a user with old favorites and new discoveries and also by checking the rating by friends on the native app (for both on Android and iOS).

Users can now search for restaurants nearby by visiting the Order Food section in the Explore tab. Browse for food options and select Start Order for takeout or delivery services.

Alex Himel, Vice President of Local said;

Today, we’re taking the time out of finding what you want to eat by officially launching the ability to order food for pick-up or delivery, directly on Facebook. People already go to Facebook to figure out what to eat by reading about nearby restaurants, and seeing what their friends say about them. So, we’re making it even easier.
