Gionee Steel 2 Plus With Snapdragon 435, 4GB RAM Launched In China

Gionee has launched its latest smartphone; Gionee Steel 2 Plus in China today. The Steel 2 Plus is a successor to the Steel 2 released in January. The Plus variant comes with added features and upgrades.

Gionee Steel 2 Plus

The Steel 2 Plus packs in a 6-inch FullView HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB non-expandable storage, runs on Android Nougat and is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.

The Steel 2 Plus features a 13-megapixel sensor with a circular LED flash on the right and at the front it has an 8-megapixel camera to take selfies better than its predecessor. In addition to that, the fingerprint scanner sits at the back of the device for easy unlock.

The Gionee Steel 2 Plus comes in Black, Blue and Gold color options is priced at 1999 yuan, which is roughly around Rs 19,700 or US$300. There is no mention of when it will go on sale, but stay tuned.
