Twitter Confirms The Testing Of Its New Tweetstorm Feature [APK]

Twitter confirms the testing of a new tweetstorm feature, as the name suggests, this feature allows users to easily create a tweetstorm with the help of connected tweets. The company has added a “Tweet All” button, which will publish your tweets in a single go in their Android alpha app.

New Tweetstorm Feature

This very new feature was spotted by our friend and a tweep Sajid Shaikh (@yosajidshaik). The feature offered a new interface for composing tweets, where an individual tweetstorm entries can be written one-by-one, then can be published in a staggered fashion.

The existence of a Tweetstorm feature was spotted in the Twitter app’s code back in September, however, Twitter denied and didn’t respond to it. Later today, Android Police also reported the tweetstorm feature popping up for some users.

Twitter Responds

When asked by TechCrunch about the feature, Twitter responded saying that the tweetstorm is been tested in both the alpha and beta programs on iOS and Android. Speaking about availability, the micro-blogging website said that the feature is not yet available to everyone.

Although Twitter has increased its character limit to 280 characters, the need of tweetstorm hasn’t eliminated. This could add a supporting hand for the people who tweet more than 280 characters, as this will connect the tweets together and each tweet stands alone, which means it can be retweeted, favorited, etc on an individual basis.

 

How Tweetstorm Using This Feature

  1. Open Twitter.
  2. Write a tweet.
  3. Click on the (+) button on the right side of the compose screen.
  4. Add another tweet or photo or GIF or poll.
  5. Want to add another tweet? Repeat step 3 & 4.
  6. Then, tap on “Tweet All” button. You’re done!

This feature would have been really useful if it was released when Twitter only supported 140 characters. But after the expansion to 280 characters, the probability of using this feature, widely goes down.
