Instagram Offline Mode For Android Users; Beta Testing Begins!

Instagram on Android starts testing a new feature; Instagram Offline mode. Yes, finally Instagram has got an offline mode targeting lower bandwidth regions, which demoed at the Facebook’s F8 Conference.


The company has already started testing this feature in its beta version of Android users, this apparently will let you consume and engage with content, regardless of connectivity.

Instagram Offline Mode

With Instagram offline mode support, you can interact with contents like browsing images and visiting profiles even in the offline mode. You can even like a photo, comment on a video or a photo, follow or unfollow. In addition to that, now, you can access explore, activity and your own profile when you’re offline.

This all is possible due to Read and Write support. The Read support lets Instagram developers unlock offline consumption and store content for offline use. And Write support creates a store that implements “PendingActionStore” interface, PendingAction and Manager (Know More).
