Meizu Super mCharge Technology: 0 To 100% In 20 Minutes: How?

Untitled 1 10

Meizu has introduced a new charging technology. Today at MWC, Meizu Super mCharge technology came into limelight with its announcement. Meizu claims that this world’s quickest fast charging technology can charge a smartphone (of 3000mAh) from 0 to 100% in just 20 minutes.

This mCharge technology charges the phone up to 30% in 5 minutes, 60% in 10 minutes and 85% in 15 minutes. It basically uses 11V/5A charger to boasts a maximum power of 55W, compared to 18W in Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 and 20W in OPPO’s VOOC.

Meizu Super mCharge Technology

Meizu is ready to pump to charge in no time. The company said it has spent more than a year on Research & Development to improve the power of Super mCharge to 55W. The company also said that it has 98% super high efficiency compared to Qualcomm’s QC 3.0 and OPPO’s VOOC.

The company said that with Super mCharge, battery temperature only tops up to 39-degree celsius during charging, which of course results in safer and probably more reliable charging solution. Well, to make a perspective Meizu said that Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 battery temperature can go up to and above 44-degree celsius.

How Does It Work?

So, Meizu for Super mCharge technology adopts the Charge Pump Principle, applying only 2 groups of conversion circuits to directly output half of the voltage. This increases charging efficiency by 9% to 98% with stable performance during charging.

Getting into depth, Meizu to bring out new technology has redesigned a new data cable that can carry up to 160W of power (more than 3 times of the safety margin) and matter of fact, Meizu has also created its own battery for this, the Meizu self-created battery can beat more than 4times the current of an ordinary battery. There is no word from Meizu on when we can expect this technology in its smartphones.
