Microsoft Surface Hub 2 With 50.5-inch 4K Display Launched

Microsoft has launched the next-generation of its giant conference room display – Surface Hub 2. The Hub 2 uses a 50.5-inch 3:2 display with a greater than 4K resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio with extremely thin bezels.

Microsoft Surface Hub 2: The Giant Display

The Hub 2 rotates to a portrait position with a clever mechanism that looks similar to Microsoft’s Surface Book muscle wire lock, and also works as a powerhouse to Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Whiteboard, Office 365, Windows 10 and the intelligent cloud.

Furthermore, it comes with 4K cameras rotate with the device, integrated speakers, and far-field mic arrays allow everyone in the meeting to feel. Microsoft has also teamed up with workplace expert Steelcase to create a system of rolling stands and easy-to-use mounts.

Furthermore, the Hub 2 runs on Windows 10 and brings in multi-user sign in using the built-in fingerprint reader, which will let multiple people authenticate and access documents and make collaboration as natural as meeting at a whiteboard.

According to Microsoft, it has sold over 5000 Surface Hub devices across 25 markets. Well, the Microsoft Surface Hub will be available in 2019 (no exact time frame mentioned) and the pricing will be in line with similar competitive devices (no number mentioned).
