Samsung Pay Adds Support For UPI Payments Via Bharat QR Codes

Samsung Pay is in India for a few months now, the app is getting better with every new update. Well, with the new update, users will be available to use their Samsung phone to pay at places with the country’s own UPI payment.

Samsung Pay With UPI Payments Support

As UPI Payments becoming common, which lets people make payments and transfer money even with a basic phone as long as it is connected to a network operator. Addition of UPI Payments into the Samsung Pay is an upgrade to the user experience.

Thanks to the Bharat QR Code initiative, the barcode is just like the ones in Paytm wallet and notably, Samsung is getting into the action with the QR code support, which is clearly a new addition to the payment process.

The update also brings Android Oreo compatibility. The Oreo beta for India is yet to start, once it does, Galaxy S8 users should be able to use the service like a breeze. Well, the Samsung Pay update notification should pop up on your device anytime soon (or if you open it).
