After a saga of leaks and renders, OnePlus has announced OnePlus 8, a successor to last year’s OnePlus 7T. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 90Hz refresh rate display, high-end internals, tri-camera (rear) setup, IP68 ratings (finally), and Warp Charge 30T Fast Charging support.
OnePlus 8: The Next OnePlus 7T!
The OnePlus 8 comes with a 6.55-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display, 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. OnePlus says that it has 4096 levels of auto-brightness control and has an A+ Display rating from DisplayMate. It powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC, coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM, and all are paired with 128GB/256GB (UFS 3.0) storage.
The OnePlus 8 runs on Android 10 with OxygenOS 10. Coming to the camera, the OnePlus 8 sports a 48-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor and OIS, a 16-megapixel 116° ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

At the front, it has a 16-megapixel in-screen camera with a Sony IMX471 sensor. It runs on 4300mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T Fast Charging. In addition to that, it retains the alert slider, has a glass back with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The OnePlus 8 comes in Onyx Black (gloss-finish glass), Glacial Green (matte glass) and interstellar Glow (gloss-finish glass) colors, is priced at;
- 8GB RAM with 128GB storage – $699 / £599 (~Rs 53,100 / Rs 57,405)
- 12GB RAM with 256GB storage – $799 / €699 (~Rs 60,700 / Rs 58,345)
It will be available in the US and North America from April 29th. It will be available in Europe and the UK from April 21st starting. OnePlus 8 is said to be available in India this summer on Amazon.in, however, it didn’t reveal the pricing.
