Nokia Smart TV Images And Key Details Leaked Online Ahead Of Launch

HMD Global has already sent press invites for the launch (December 5) of its first Smart TV – Nokia Smart TV in India. Although HMD Global spoke much about the launch, Flipkart did. The e-commerce platform affirmed that Nokia is launching Android-powered smart TV as a Flipkart Unique product which is powered by JBL Audio.

Nokia Smart TV Leaked Online

In amidst of the (planned upcoming) launch of Nokia smart TV, folks at The Mobile Indian dug deep to avail information about its manufacturing, pricing, and availability. According to TMI, the Nokia TV will be manufactured by Skyworth India Electronics, a subsidiary of China-based Skyworth Overseas Development Company and Skyquad.

The Nokia TV, according to the reports, will be manufactured by Skyworth at their plant in Hyderabad. Not just that, the Nokia smart TV was spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) database, which speaks about the sizes and features of smart TV.

According to the certification, there will be a 55-inch panel with 4K Ultra HD resolution and will have the JBL Audio. Moreover, the display will use Intelligent Dimming technology which will result in Deeper Blacks and much better contrast.

Earlier last week, Digit published two images of the alleged Nokia’s first smart TV. The published images tease the corner frame design from two angles. Furthermore, we can see the tiny brushed metal finish top left corner and the bottom top right with an attached soundbar and the “Sound by JBL” branding.

Coming to the pricing, the Nokia Smart TV is speculated to be priced at Rs. 39,999, which means, it will compete with Mi TV, Vu and the recently launched Motorola TV in India. Flipkart has already brought Motorola Smart TVs to the Indian market as part of its strategic relationship.
