These OnePlus 7 Pro Features Are Coming To OnePlus 5, 5T, 6 and 6T

OnePlus has launched two of its powerful yet budget-friendly devices- OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro just a week ago. Both the phones came with high-end internals and features that were unique and device specific.

Well, these device-specific features are embedded in the OS, which for OnePlus is Oxygen OS. The Oxygen OS has long been one of the best skins on Android phone and the best part is OnePlus keeps improving it with every update.

OnePlus 7 Pro Included Features

With the launch of OnePlus 7 series, Oxygen OS included some new and improved features. Some of which many of the older OnePlus phone owners are trying/finding a way to use on their current phone.

Good news to the old OnePlus phone owner, via a forum post, OnePlus announced that many of the OnePlus 7 Pro features are coming to older OnePlus phones. According to the post from OnePlus, “as long the features are not hardware-dependent, you should see them popping up on your OnePlus 5, 5T, 6 and 6T in the future.”

The new features include;

  • Fnatic Mode
  • Zen Mode
  • Screen Recorder
  • Quick reply in landscape
  • DC Dimming
  • RAM Boost

Just In Case

Fnatic Mode will boost CPU performance, network speed during gaming, and will block disturbances. While the Zen Mode helps you disconnect from the digital world. Coming to DC Dimming, it is a method to adjust your brightness by changing circuit power. The new setting will help with screen flickers at low brightness, but can also cause some abnormal colors in some situations.

Furthermore, the Screen Recorder and Quick reply in the landscape is self-explanatory. While the RAM Boost will optimize RAM usage and increase performance. This feature will be evident to OnePlus 5 and 5T users, while the OnePlus 6 and 6T users will not notice a much of a difference, however, they will notice that it will replace Smart Boost in a future update.

The Android Q Developer Preview is on the way to OnePlus 5 and 5T users. However, there is no word on when the update will roll out. The update was just recently released for the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 6 and 6T. So, it won’t be too long for the older ones.
