We knew a few things about the Huawei P30 like it will come with teardrop notch and will feature Quad rear cameras. Well, now, Clement Wong, VP of Global Product Marketing, Huawei, confirmed that the high-end P30 will feature a periscope-style zoom camera for “super-zoom” capabilities.
There is no word on zoom level are, but last year’s P20 Pro featured 3X optical and up to 5X hybrid, so it expected to offer more than that. There are a lot of rumors and reports suggesting that it will feature 10X zoom, but nothing is official.

The shot that is published in Weibo confirms the quad-camera setup and also shows great details of the lunar surface. According to Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, the pic was achieved on-device, handheld, with no additional help, which will be exciting to see.
Well, Wong claims that the P30 Pro’s camera would offer “something nobody has done before,” which suggests the P30’s periscope camera may include a powered, mechanical zoom lens. Apart from that zoom features, the company is also looking to build on the P20 Pro’s excellent low-light performance. We should know more on March 26th when the device goes official.
