Huawei Patent Leaks Hints Penta Rear Camera Setup For The Mate 30 Pro

The recent leak of Nokia’s 9 PureView points the potential of a smartphone with Penta camera setup. Not just Nokia, now, according to case design leak, Huawei is said to be working on a smartphone with Penta rear camera setup.

Penta Rear Camera Setup For The Mate 30 Pro

Mid last year (i.e 27 June 2018), Huawei applied for a number of design patents at the Chinese CNIPA and the patents were published on 1 January 2019. The company usually files for smartphone designs, but this time it is cases. Well, one of these cases stood out from the pack as it comes with an interesting opening at the rear, larger than that of the Mate 20 Pro.

Well, based on the design and the shape of the opening, the smartphone, there is a good amount of possibility that Huawei Mate 30 Pro comes with Penta rear cameras and LED flash. And as you expect, there are no details on the camera or the smartphone itself in the mentioned patent file.

Putting the patented case and Mate 20 Pro design aside, there’s a legit difference and it is quite obvious that a smartphone with more sensors is in the making, so this could be Mate 30 Pro. However, we should know more in the coming days.
