Dell Refreshes Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 Laptop, Brings XPS Features At A Lower Price

    Dell announced the refreshed versions of the Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 and Inspiron 14 5000 laptops which was unveiled last year at IFA 2017. This refresh brings the Inspiron lineup closer to its pricier counterparts XPS series. Don’t get twisted, this is not a cheaper XPS knockoffs.

    Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 And Inspiron 5000

    The refreshed lineup of Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 laptops now comes with 8th-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, a webcam in the proper spot despite a narrow bezel display pretty much counterfeiting XPS line. The smaller webcam loses out on facial scan biometric login, made up for with a new fingerprint reader.

    Well, the 13-inch version of the 2-in-1 holds up to  1TB of SSD storage and 16GB of memory, while the 15- and- 17-inch versions have options for up to 2TB of hard drive storage with SSDs up to 512GB attached. Furthermore, there is an option available for Intel Optane memory, treated as additional RAM in these cases.

    All these mentioned laptops will support Amazon Alexa as well as ell’s Mobile Connect phone management app and include a USB-C port that supports both USB-C Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Coming to the pricing, it starts at US$849 (~Rs 59,884) for 13-inch, the 15-inch is priced at US$879 (~Rs 62,000), while the 17-inch model is priced at US$1,099 (~Rs 77,517). It will be available starting October 2 in the US.

    Not just that, Dell has also updated the Inspiron 5000 series. Now, the 2018 Inspiron 14 5000 comes packs in a 14-inch, Full HD touchscreen, powered by 8th generation Intel Core i3 – i7 processors, paired with 4GB DDR4 RAM (up to 32GB), Nvidia GeForce MX130 graphics (optional) and 128GB SSD (single) / 2TB HDD + 256GB SSD.

    Much like Inspiron 7000, even this laptop features Amazon Alexa and Dell’s Mobile Connect software, but no secure biometric login. The pricing of the Inspiron 5000 starts at US$459 (~Rs 32,380) and is expected to land in the US on October 2, 2018.
