Acer has launched a new Windows 10 Mixed Reality headset at IFA 2018. Dubbed as Acer OJO 500, it is a unique detachable design. To be precise – the lens and head strap are removable for easy cleaning and storage.

Acer OJO 500 Windows 10 Mixed Reality Headset
The OJO 500 comes with two 2.89-inch LCD screens with a wide 100-degree field of view, a 2880 x 1440 resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate. This also features a patent sound pipe design that directs sounds from the built-in speakers to the users’ ears.
Furthermore, the OJO 500 sports cameras on the front that track users’ movements and head position, eliminating the need for external sensors its rivals require. This headset in a way specifically for those planning to share a headset with friends and people who run establishments or theme parks that offer VR experiences.

The OJO 500 is priced at $399/€499 (~Rs 28,123), these are base prices and doesn’t include upgrades and optional accessories like its Bluetooth-enabled motion controllers. It will be available in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa in November.
