Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is undoubtedly one among the best smartphones that you can buy. There is nothing to complain about the smartphone in terms of display, overall performance, and camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 possibly offers an unmatchable flagship experience across the board. That said, there are some major reasons why you should skip the Galaxy Note 9.
1. Unvaried Design Aesthetics

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has nearly unchanged design ergonomics as compared to the predecessor Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Well, there is nothing to complain about the design and both these smartphones look and feel premium. But the fact that in spite of being a $1000 flagship both the design and display are strikingly similar to the predecessors is undeniable.
2. Fragile Construction

Around 85% of the body of the Galaxy Note 9 is made up of glass making the device fragile. Samsung has offered gorilla glass protection both on the front and rear of the smartphone, but random scratches and drops are completely unpredictable. Therefore, dropping the device down cracks either of the faces, which might cost you over $150 at least. So, protecting the device with cases, covers or even skin is a wise decision.

3. Not A Future-Proof Flagship
One major factor why people invest in a flagship smartphone is the long-term usage of around 2 to 3 years. Well, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is powered by either the Exynos 9810 or the Snapdragon 845, both these processors have been introduced months ago with the Samsung Galaxy S9.
Furthermore, Samsung has a very bad name in long-term usage. Many users report long-run issues with a majority of Samsung flagship devices including a generation old Samsung Galaxy S8. Apart from that, the new Pixel devices will be powered either by the latest Snapdragon 850 or the unreleased Snapdragon 855 and buying those phones makes more sense.
4. Old Android Version
Considering the fact that its a $1000 dollar flagship smartphone, Samsung should have launched the Galaxy Note 9 with Android P. We all know that the Note 9 will get an update to Android P, but there are no official announcements as to when will the device get updated. Older and slower Android updates is an age-old issue now and a majority of users face the problem.

5. Lacks 5G Support
Most wireless carriers and modem manufacturer are working together to bring the 5G network by early-2019. 5G connectivity will become standard by 2019-2020. That said, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 only supports 4G, which again contradicts with its $1000 price tag.
