Google Pixelbook Convertible Runs Chrome OS With Stylus Support

Google is bringing back the Chromebook pixel with a slightly different name; Google Pixelbook. It is reported to be high-end convertible Chromebook, unlike original Pixel this time around it will also support a stylus.

According to Droid Life, the Pixebook will essentially be a silver Chromebook that supports pressure-sensitive stylus and thanks to that hinge it can also fold into a tablet. Google is clearly targeting the high-end market with its first Chromebook to carry the Pixel moniker.

The specifications aren’t leaked yet, however, we know the pricing. The Pixelbook reportedly comes in only on color silver with different storage tiers: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB and is priced at US$1,199, US$1,399 and US$1,749 respectively.

It’s worth noting that, Pixelbook will not ship with its stylus aka Pixelbook Pen, which is rumored to sell for an additional US$99. Now, with this price of Pixelbook, you could easily buy five cheaper Chromebooks or you can a very good Mac for the same price. The Pixelbook will be announced at Google’s Pixel 2 event on October 4.
