MediaTek Helio P23 And P30 Mid-Range Chipsets Announced

MediaTek, the Taiwanese chipmaker has announced its latest mid-range chipsets; MediaTek Helio P23 and P30. As reported by GizmoChina, the announced processors are expected to feature in the next Moto G series lineup and several other mid-range models.

MediaTek Helio P23 And P30 Announced

There a few minor differences between the Helio P23 and P30. The P23 is clocked at 770MHz, while the P30 is clocked at 950MHz. Coming down to handling optics, the P23 can easily handle dual-camera with a 13MP sensor or single camera with a 24MP sensor.

The Helio P30 comes with a Vision Processing Unit, which basically boosts performance by freeing up a few resources to accommodate new ones. The P23 and P30 chipsets run on same octa-core Cortex A53, clocked at 2.3GHz, according to the report.

Apart from differences, both the processors have MediaTek’s CorePilot 4.0 technology which allows better battery optimization, prevents heating up of the phone and offers user experience based according to the report.

MediaTek Helio P23The chipset offers dual-SIM 4G VoLTE/ViLTE capabilities with a unique combination of Cat-7/13 bands which offers download speed up to 300Mbps and upload speeds of 150Mbps. Both the processors will be pushed out in the market by Q4.
