Xiaomi Redmi 5 is around the corner and the recent reports hint that there is a smaller and cheaper variant – Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A. Going back to Redmi Note 4, the company has sold over 5 million units in India.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A
According to the leaked images by Slashleaks, the Redmi Note 5A sports a metal unibody. Although the major difference is the absence of a fingerprint scanner at the rear end. The Xiaomi logo is placed at the bottom end and there’s a single rear camera with an LED flash.
Specs wise, the Redmi Note 5A is speculated to come with a 5-inch HD display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, paired with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, running on Android Nougat and is backed by a 3,020mAh battery. On the camera front, it will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.
The Redmi Note 5A is expected to be announced alongside the Redmi Note 5. The launch dates for these smartphones isn’t known yet and going by the Xiaomi’s track record, we can expect the smartphone to launch early next year.
