Facebook Stories, a Snapchat clone, has started testing its Stories feature out to Facebook’s desktop site. Facebook Stories haven’t been very successful since the launch in March. Almost no one is using Stories on Facebook.

Facebook Stories To Desktop
Unlike the mobile app, here, the Stories is not on the top of the page, instead, it is on the right side. There is a small question mark icon appears just above the Stories module, which explains the purpose.
TechCrunch reported that Facebook has confirmed the Stories launch on the desktop, but the feature is under testing and if everything goes well a wider rollout is not far away. The company chose to bring Stories to Facebook, after seeing its success on Instagram.

Instagram now has 250 million daily users, compared with Snapchat’s 166 million. And in addition to that, it has climbed the average usage from 32 minutes per day to 24 minutes per day for those under 25.
It’s unclear that bringing Facebook Stories to the desktop will impact the usage? After all, there are so many places where users want to post. Facebook might even swap in or sync Instagram stories to Facebook Stories avoiding the unnecessary hassle. What do you think? Let us know.
