Samsung Released A Walk Mode App
Well, Samsung released a Walk Mode app, exclusive to India. Setting up the app is pretty nimble. On the first launch, it requests a long list of permissions and when given its ready to go. You can turn on or off Walk Mode from the main menu.
As this is a safety app, when you turn on Walk Mode, it overlays on the screen. Initially, it shows steps in a sort of floating notifications in the corner, but as and when it detects danger around, it gives a strong vibration and the tiny notification turns into a giant overlay.

More On Walk Mode App
When danger mode initiates, the overlay also interfaces with interaction, so if you were doing something you need to stop as the app decided to give you a full-screen warning. This app basically irritates you to stop using your phone and focus on walking.
With all the irregularities and sometimes false (danger) notification, this app needs refinement. But, if you are a huge deviant, who don’t care about battery life or don’t want the basic functionality of the smartphone while walking, give it a shot.
