Xiaomi has just announced the Mi Max 2, successor to last year’s Mi Max phablet in China. The phablet looks pretty same as its predecessor with the same display size and resolution but brings incremental internal upgrades.

The phablet has a full metal unibody design with rounded edges and is just 7.6mm thick, packs a massive immersive 6.44-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display and has 0.7mm ultra narrow bezel on the side.
It is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, paired with 4GB RAM, has an improved 12-megapixel camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, runs on Android Marshmallow and is backed by 5300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The antenna bands on this phablet have been moved to the top and bottom. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back and has dual stereo speakers (one into the earpiece and other on the bottom).
The battery of the Mi Max 2 is supported by Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 that lets you charge the phone up to 68% in one hour. In addition to that, it has dual charging module that offers better heat dispersion.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes in Golden color and is priced at 1699 Yuan (roughly equals Rs 15,949 or US$247) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant cost 1999 Yuan (i.e. Rs 18,770 or US$290 approx). The phablet goes on sale from June 1st in China.
