5 Things That Would Have Made The Galaxy S8 And S8+ Much Better

Galaxy S8
Samsung has finally unveiled the much rumored, leaked and hyped Galaxy lineup; The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Both the device has impressed us with the design, internals, and features it holds.
There are a lot of new features added to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ like, Invisible Home button, Iris Scanner, Samsung DeX and Samsung’s own AI; Bixby. After all these additions, we would be lying if we were to say that there wasn’t room for improvement.

Galaxy S8 And S8+; Could Have Improved

Don’t forget to read our full coverage on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, with that being said, let’s jump into our opinion that would have made the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S8+ even better:

Removal Of Home Button, Thanks To Infinity Display

Yes, we agree, the infinity display looks cool, but due to the taller 18.5:9 ratio, Samsung was forced to remove the home button from the front bottom bezel of S8 and S8+. Though the Invisible Home button works fine, but having a Home button adds a different level of sensibility.

Why Not A Dual Camera Setup?

Samsung has no good reason to ditch the almost-obligatory dual cameras on the back as almost every flagship smartphone has one. But, according to rumors, this could change with the release of Galaxy Note 8.

Battery Size? 3000mAh And 3500mAh For 5.8″ and 6.2″, Seriously?

Samsung has changed the battery capacity from the old Galaxy S7 and S7+, but for display like this which covers up to 5.8-inches or 6.2-inches with an added bonus of Infinity display, the battery is pretty average and we are afraid if that could last for a long day of use.

Why Not A Flat Display?

Believe it or not, Samsung seems committed to the curved screen displays on their phones. The chances of seeing a flat display phone ever again are going down. It would have been really amazing if Samsung comes out with a flat-screen display as a variant for Galaxy S8 and S8+. Well, that’s pretty much never gonna happen.

Why Bixby? When We Have Google Assistant Already?

Yes, why? Samsung says that Bixby does more than what Google Assistant could. Samsung has also added a Bixby specific button just below the volume rockers. Yes, Bixby recognizes things which you can take into a search result or even buy if available in store. We’re sorry, but we don’t see any point of using Bixby.
