HTC U With Snapdragon 835, Edge Sense To Be Announced In April

HTC has unveiled two devices in its lineup for 2017 i.e HTC U Ultra and U Play. There is yet another flagship device, which is rumored for awhile now, HTC U.


The HTC U is codenamed Ocean, it actually incorporates technology that leaked through a concept video in 2016. Well, Venture Beat has revealed some info about the upcoming smartphone from HTC, that portrays what will be marketed as Edge Sense.

HTC U is speculated to sports 5.5-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display, powered by Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, either 64 or 128GB expandable storage, runs on Android 7.1 with Sense 9 UI. The smartphone is expected to come with 12-megapixel rear with Sony IMX362 sensor and 16-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX351.


HTC U Edge Sense

The main highlight of the phone will be its Edge Sense. The sensors embedded into the metal frame present around the phone is used to control a number of different features. According to some rumors and report, HTC will unveil the U in April, with launch scheduled for May.
