Xiaomi today has launched the Redmi 4A, a budget 4G smartphone at an event in India. The smartphone focuses on the lower end market and is priced at Rs 5,999.

Xiaomi has teased that the upcoming smartphone, which is also the successor the Redmi 3S. The teaser shows a curved glass screen and it is speculated that the smartphone will have two variant; one standard and other, higher end.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Variants
The lower end/standard variant of the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 430 processor, paired with 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage, runs on Android Marshmallow and is fuelled by 4,100mAh battery. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The higher-end / Redmi 4 Prime smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, paired with 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, runs on Android Marshmallow and fuelled by 4,100mAh battery. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in Silver, Grey, and Gold colors and is priced 699 yuan in China (US$ 103 / Rs. 6,900 roughly) for the standard/base variant and 899 yuan (US$ 133 / Rs. 8,880 approx) for the high-end variant. We will soon hear about Xiaomi Redmi 4 launch in India from the company.
