Facebook has introduced Reactions last year in February, which allowed users to ‘react’ to post by choosing from the wide range of emotes. Now, the company is testing reaction feature to its Messenger app with added dislike reaction.

The Reaction feature is already available on Facebook News Feed. The feature allows users to react to post on their News Feed by choosing among six options, which includes love, laughter, shock, sadness, and anger. Facebook Messenger will soon be equipped with Reaction feature.

Facebook Dislike Reaction Added

TechCrunch reported that the Reactions feature will be available for every message shared on personal chats and even in group chats as well. Much like the Reaction feature, you have to hover over a message and click the emoji icon to open the Reaction feature. The highly demanded dislike button is also added. In group chat, the user can see the full list of users and their Reactions chosen.

Facebook says that it sees the dislike option as a “no” button. The company thinks that a lot of people use Messenger for planning events and adding Reaction will help in deciding. If the social giant rolls out Reaction feature, then it would join messengers like iMessage and Slack. Well, this feature is under testing. So, this feature may/may not roll out to public.

We’re always testing ways to make Messenger more fun and engaging. This is a small test where we enable people to share an emoji that best represents their feelings on a message.
