Reliance Jio’s Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, introduced Jio Prime membership for Rs 99 for 1 year. Reliance Jio’s freebies have been the biggest reason why the company has been able to accumulate 100 million subscribers in no time.
Mukesh Ambani at the Reliance industries special event today announced that Reliance Jio has crossed 100 million customers in 170 days of launch, which is 7 customers every second. Jio has 60,00 Jio employees and over 10 lakh Jio retail partners.
The Chairman also had some analytics in his speech, which is 200 crore minutes voice and video calls every day and 100 crore data a month, making India number one country worldwide in mobile data usage. Addition to that he said, Jio has two times more 4G base stations than all Indian operators combined.
Jio Prime Membership
It was early speculated that Reliance Jio might extend its Happy New Year offer (Free voice and video calls across India with 1GB 4G data) but that’s not happening instead Jio has launched its prime membership, dubbed Jio Prime membership.
So, Jio Prime membership at a one-time payment of Rs. 99 for a year can be activated through MyJio app, Jio.com, and retail store from 1st March to 31st March. Yes! by activating this you can enjoy the benefits of the Happy New Year feature for a year including Jio’s media services worth Rs 10,000 at Rs 303 per month. The membership will cost you Rs 10/month (with unlimited voice and video calls + 1GB 4G data + Jio’s media services) till 31st March 2018.
