Xiaomi has finally unveiled the successor to Xiaomi’s most popular mid-range smartphone of 2016, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
Design
Both the smartphones look and feel very much identical to the each other. Both smartphones sport a practically identical dimension and design. Well, the main identical difference is that the Redmi Note 4 now has a backlight for the capacitive Android keys below the screen.
Addition to that there is a change in the speaker location i.e the Redmi Note 4 moves the speaker to the bottom of the phone, right next to the USB port. And Redmi Note 4 looks to have a squared design with sharper edges than Redmi Note 3.

Redmi Note 4 vs Redmi Note 3: Processor
Xiaomi Redmi 4 came out with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, which is a downgrade from Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC on the Redmi Note 3.
The performance difference can be noticeable as the Redmi Note 4 comes with an Octa-core chipset with eight ARM Cortex A53 cores, which is clocked at 2GHz, while the Redmi Note 3 has a hexacore Snapdragon 650 with four ARM Cortex A53 cores and two Cortex A72 cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz.

Camera
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was most criticized on camera department. So, invert it back Redmi Note 4 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with significant improvements in terms of camera performance.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Well, adding a flavor to the new and latest budget release of Xiaomi, Redmi Note 4 uses larger pixels and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) with some general improvements.

Minor Differences
- Redmi Note 4 comes with 4GB RAM / 64GB Storage, 3GB RAM / 32GB Storage and 2GB / 32GB Storage, while Redmi Note 3 had only 32GB storage variant, which can be further expanded up to 128GB storage.
- Redmi Note 4 comes with Android Marshmallow out of the box, while Redmi Note 3 initially came with Android Lollipop and later upgraded to Android Marshmallow (MIUI 8).
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes with a slight improvement in battery i.e with 4,100mAh battery, while the Redmi Note 3 comes with 4,050mAh battery.
- Both the smartphones support 4G VoLTE.
Pricing
Much like the Redmi Note 3, the Redmi Note 4 comes in Gold and Dark Gray colors. But the add-on here is Redmi Note 4 also comes in Matte Black color. It is expected to come out sometime in the third week of February.
Well, Xiaomi Redmi note 4 is priced at Rs. 9999 for the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage, Rs 10,999 for 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, while the 4GB RAM with 64GB Storage is priced at Rs 12,999. And will be available exclusively Via Flipkart and Mi.com starting from 23rd January, 12 noon. Get set.
