There is a long run of rumors and leaks on the Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, which is expected to launch at MWC 2017.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus: Dimensions
In the forest of leaks and render images, GSMArena has leaked the dimensions of the smartphones. Samsung Galaxy S8 is 140.14mm x 72.20 x 7.30mm, slightly shorter and thinner than the current S7, but wider, which comes out to be a 5.7/6.2-inch screen, apparently bigger than the last Galaxy S7 Edge.
While the Galaxy S8 Plus measures 152.38 x 78.51 x 7.94mm. Which came out to be 6.3-inch i.e taller and wider than the Galaxy S7 Edge.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus: Model Number
The number of the upcoming smartphone is based on the logic. Well, last year Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge were labeled as SM-G930 and SM-G935. So, logically the name of the upcoming flagship smartphone would be SM-G940 and SM-G945 respectively.
Though there will be a change in the numbers as, Samsung follows old customs and number their device based on the culture and coming to Asia, since the number 4 is pronounced in Chinese, it resembles ‘death’. So, we are expecting there will be a slight change in numbers.

According to some rumors, the Chinese market will have the model number as SM-G9500, while the plus model is expected to go by the number SM-G955X (X=carrier dependence). Well, the device is to unveiled in MWC 2017 and expect this smartphone ship by April of this year.
