Well, in addition to the clock speed, the Snapdragon 835 is 35% smaller (in size) and consumes 25% less power than its predecessor’s. This could a reason why Qualcomm tagged the chipset to have better battery life.

    Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Support

There is a minor improvement in the graphics department, the Adreno 530 is succeeded by Adreno 540 GPU. It expected to deliver great performance for mobile games (includes AR and VR) especially with the support of OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0, Vulkan API and DirectX 12.

Apart from having 25% increase in graphics performance, the chipset will support 4K (UHD) video recording at 30fps, 60fps and can easily playback in 4K. Well, it was much rumored (it came out to be true), the Snapdragon 835 supports Google’s Daydream VR. Coming to camera performance, the chip would let OEM’s to build devices with up to 32 MP single and 16MP dual-camera.

    Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Connectivity

Snapdragon 835 has a good improvement is connectivity side as X16 LTE modem debut on this chip, there is also support for Cat.16 download speed (theoretically 1Gbps) and cat.13 upload speeds (theoretically 150Mbps). Apart from that, this is the first commercial chip which is officially certified by Bluetooth 5.0 with a peak transfer speed of up to 2 Mbps.
