Facebook is pushing the bar and coming out with different features, no matter it is copied or self-made.

Facebook Live Audio Testing
Well, Facebook is testing live audio and for this, the social network giant is working with several partners such as BBC World Service, LBD, Harper Collins and authors Adam Grant and Bratt Bennett.
The live audio feature will be live for public at some point in early. Though you can’t test this feature, this is something to look forward to.
Facebook Product Specialist Shirley IP and Software Engineer Bhavana Radhakrishnan wrote;
We know that people often like to listen to audio while doing other things and think the listening experience will be first class.
After ripping off the Snapchat’s business, the social network is looking forward to competing with Spotify, Acast and iTunes, with the next podcasting platform.

Concept
This feature is not actually new to the platform. The concept of broadcasting live audio in Facebook has been brought up by some publishers just by leaving still image on a live stream on the platform. This feature (Live audio) could provide a new format for publishers who experience low-connectivity.
The social network says that it knows that sometimes publishers want to tell a story “with words not with a video”, that is the main reason why it worked on the live audio functionality, to give out alternative options.
How does It work?
Just like the live video broadcasting, you can go live audio (simple as that). You can discover live audio content in the News Feed, comment and react in real-time and share the broadcasts with your friends. People ith Android devices will be able to continue listening to live audio even if they leave the Facebook app or lock their smartphone and on the other hand, on iOS, you can only listen while you’re browsing.
