Snapchat Introduces Groups, Shazam Music Recognition Feature and More

Snapchat in their latest update unveiled Snapchat Groups, which makes Snapchat more interactive.


Snapchat Group lets you participate in a group conversation with up to 16 friends at once. Groups can be created by starting a chat and clicking the upper left corner button to start a new message thread. You can also access Groups after you create a snap. When you start to select usernames, you’ll see a Group icon appear in the upper right corner of the app.

Features Added?

There are new features added with the update of Snapchat Groups. Well, Snapchat messages, chats sent to the Group or any snap didn’t open get deleted automatically after 24 hours. You can also send stickers, Bitmojis, Friendsmojis, voice and video notes.

Snapchat added Quick Chat feature i.e When your friends are in Group Chat, you’ll see their name at the bottom and addition to that if you tap on any of your friends name you instantly start a one-one chat and can easily go back to the Group with one swipe.

 

Creativity Bonus


Well, Snapchat is not backing down the creativity. They have added two new Creative Tools, called Scissors and Paintbrush. And as it sounds, the scissors will let you cut out a part of Snap on the preview screen to turn into a sticker. Well, Paintbrush can be used on Snaps in Memories and turns them into “Artistic Masterpieces“.

Groups

Adding a bonus to the latest Snapchat is Shazam. Snapchat has integrated Shazam into the Snapchat app. If you press and hold on the Snapchat camera screen while music is playing nearby, the music recognition service will let you know what you are listening to. Once Shazam tells you what’s playing, you can send your discovery as a Snap to your friends.
