Instagram’s New Feature: Remove Followers, Block Comment And More

Facebook-owned Instagram has been adding new features continuously and now, Instagram rolled out a long requested features from users.

The new update is a bundle of features which include new options for users to turn off comments on their post, remove followers from private accounts. These features were requested over and over.

Comment Section, How To Activate?

Now, with this update you are getting to the ability for users to turn off comments on any post. Earlier it was available for a small number of accounts. Instagram has launched the ability to filter comment based on keywords.

To enable this feature, go to “Advanced Settings” and before you put up a post, select “Turn Off Commenting” and if you change your mind, you can tap the menu and turn commenting back on. In the coming weeks, Instagram is also adding the ability to like the comment, much like Facebook’s like button.

Remove Followers?

Earlier, if you have a private account and if someone requests to follow you, you can either accept or discard the request. Let’s say, if you approve the request, there is no simple way to undo the decision without blocking them.

Now, with the new update, private account users can remove followers by going to their follower list and tapping the menu next to any person name. The best part is that the person will not be notified that you removed them as a follower.
